Stacey Farrington - Director & Case Manager
For as long as I can remember, I have always been drawn to the world of Ghosts and Spirits; and to anything that was unexplained. My fascination with these things began at a rather young age. I have had many paranormal experiences throughout my life, all of them intriguing and unique in their own way. It was an experience that I had as a teenager, with a close friend who had passed away by his own hand, that deepened my curiosity and made me want to explore the Afterlife in more depth. It was in my late teens and early twenties; I began to notice that ghosts and spirits were drawn to me; like a “magnet” of sorts. I could often “feel” them, sense their presence around me or others and quite honestly, even though I was completely fascinated with the world of the ghosts and spirits, it frightened me. So very many years, because of this fear, I closed myself off to the world of ghosts and spirits and stopped exploring the Afterlife. It wasn’t until I was much older and had begun to explore my own spirituality that these “feelings” began to make themselves known again. It was around this time that I came across a class that was being given at the local adult education on how to be a Ghost Hunter; I immediately signed up for the class with a friend. My main reason for signing up for the class, besides my deep curiosity of ghosts and spirits, was I wanted to face the fear I had about them. The class not only soothed the fears that I had about ghosts and spirits but it also took my life in a direction I had never expected. I began working as an investigator for the team who had offered the class and through working with them, many of the questions I had about the paranormal were answered and paranormal research became my passion. The team I was involved with disbanded in 2006, myself and a few others wanted to still continue exploring the world of the paranormal together and it was then that CMPI was born. I now find myself leading a team of experienced, talented paranormal investigators and together we document haunted locations in Maine as well as educate the public of the existence of ghosts and spirits.

Lori Black - Co Director, Psychic, & Field Investigator
Hello Ghost World! Over the last few years, I have been working and traveling as a ghost hunter/paranormal researcher. I’ve been to some interesting places, enjoyed conversing with other groups and been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to meet fellow ghost hunters from around the country and work with a few of them as well. Their professionalism as well as their abilities impressed me. Hell, the way I see it we are all in the profession for the same reason: To prove that there are strange and unusual experiences out there which are unexplained. I have a lot of natural psychic abilities myself and enjoy helping others understand their abilities and reach out into the paranormal world. But beware; once you start there is no stopping because the dead love to talk. Aside from my interest in the paranormal, I have been working in the medical field for over 17 years. I have dealt with death and dying and have had some unusual experiences myself, which has piqued my interest with the paranormal world. I am also a Reiki 2 practitioner. I am a spiritual person and am always willing to listen to other peoples experiences with the unexplained. I also enjoy history and learning about the background of the cases we research. Happy ghost hunting!

Jim Wetherell - Co Director & Lead Investigator
I come from a long line of relatives who were either Spiritualist or sensitive. My abilities are being able to see the earth bound spirits in both human and animal forms and psychometry (seeing things concerning an object or its owners through the object). I can remember having paranormal experiences as a child around 12 years old; I would wake up and find shadows at the head of my bed looking at me. I wouldn’t be able to move or speak and it felt as though a heavy weight had been placed on my chest making it hard to breath. I’ve also had experiences with dreams and messages passed to me through the dreams, most memorably one from my grandmother on the day after she passed away, letting me know that she was alright and happy now. I’ve always been interested in the unknown and what happens to us after we depart from this life. I started studying the different aspects of life after death, looking for the answers to the experiences that I’ve had. I enjoy working with the other researchers at C.M.P.I. and sharing experiences with them while exploring the paranormal and unknown. Through working with C.M.P.I., I hope to be able to help others find answers to the questions that they have about their experiences with the paranormal. This is a fulfilling lifelong journey and I thoroughly enjoy it.

Henry J Farrington Jr. - Field Investigator/Tech Manager
I have always had an interest in the paranormal as well as with all things unexplained but with a bit of skepticism which I believe you need in order to research the paranormal. I joined C.M.P.I. with the hope of better educating myself and having some genuine paranormal experiences. While I enjoy the investigation part of ghost hunting I also enjoy the scientific and technological aspects of it as well.

Jessica Fox - Senior Investigator /Secretary
I am 20 years old and am excited to be joining CMPI. I have been researching the paranormal since I was six years old, and I have had many different experiences, I hope that my field work with the team will help to shed some light upon my own experiences as well as the experiences of others. I tend to be slightly skeptical, while still keeping my mind open to all possibilities. Paranormal research is a passion, and I am glad to have the opportunity to search for answers and proof of the existence of the paranormal.
